테니스 동호인들의 한마당인 『2023 안동전국동호인테니스대회』가 오는 3월 25일에서 26일까지 이틀간 안동시민테니스장 외 보조구장에서 개최된다.
안동시테니스협회와 대구일보에서 주최·주관하는 이번 대회는 480여 개 팀, 960여 명의 동호인이 참가하여 그간 갈고닦은 기량을 펼치게 된다.
경기는 개나리부(여성부), 전국신인부, 지역신인부, 남자오픈부로 구분해 예선리그를 거쳐 조별 1･2위 팀을 결정한다. 이후 본선에서 승자 진출전(토너먼트)을 통해 우승팀을 가리게 된다.
이번 대회는 테니스 동호인 간의 상호교류를 통해 테니스의 저변을 확대하고 친목 도모뿐만 아니라 전국에서 방문한 참가자들에게 안동의 스포츠 인프라와 문화·관광을 홍보할 수 있는 좋은 계기가 될 것으로 기대되고 있다.
안동시 관계자는 “전국 동호인 테니스계의 메이저대회라 할 수 있는 이번 대회를 통해 테니스 동호인들이 준비해온 기량을 충분히 선보이며 상호 간 친선을 다지는 계기가 되길 바란다”라며 “더불어, 하회마을, 월영교 등 안동의 관광 명소도 즐겨 보시길 권한다”라고 말했다.

The 2023 Andong National Friendship Tennis Tournament, a venue for tennis enthusiasts, will be held at auxiliary stadiums other than Andong Citizens' Tennis Court for two days from March 25 to 26.
Hosted and organized by the Andong Tennis Association and the Daegu Ilbo, more than 480 teams and 960 club members will participate in the competition to show their skills that they have honed so far.
The game will be divided into forsythia (women's division), national rookie division, local rookie division, and men's open division, and the first and second-place teams in the group will be decided through the preliminary league. After that, the winning team will be determined through a tournament (tournament) in the finals.
This competition is expected to be a good opportunity to expand the base of tennis and promote Andong's sports infrastructure, culture, and tourism to participants visiting from all over the country through mutual exchanges between tennis enthusiasts.
